+JPost
I just dowloaded Logicweave's Cache Stats program and I can't seem to get it to work right. I just became a premium member and tried to create a pocket query for the first time to include all of the caches I have found so far (34). I have found them from central Ohio to Key West and can't seem to get them all in one query even when I switch the search radius to 2000 miles, and I can't save the query as a GPX file, it only saves as a LOC file . Just wanted to drop a quick line before I go to bed. Any help for a cache noob would be awesome! Thanks! Quote Link to comment
+Take A Hike!
I am having the same problem figuring out how to download in .GPX format. Help us PLEASE! Quote Link to comment
jholly
On the pocket query generator page, about half way down is a box for My Finds. Click the Add to Queue button and it will generate a PQ of your finds. You should use this instead of a regular PQ because it will include archived caches and all of your finds, even when your finds go over 500. Jim Quote Link to comment

+JPost
I'm using your basic Garmin nuvi 200 but that's not the problem. I did hit the "add to queue" but when I tried to load the gpx file into CacheStats it said "Index was outside the bounds of the array" ???? And, I guess you can't run it for another week, right? Is there something else I'm missing here? Quote Link to comment

+JPost
Yes, I unzipped it. I'm pretty pc savvy and I figured this would be easier to manage.... Quote Link to comment
+abcdmCachers
With CacheStats 3.0 unzipping the GPX files is optional since it can now read the zip file directly. I just sent you an email through your geocaching account. I'd like to help you figure out what's going on in case I introduced a new bug in 3.0. Quote Link to comment
+Chrysalides
I've been using GSAK's macro for stats, but thought I'd give CacheStats a try. Worked beautifully for me, no errors, when I opened up the GPX file sent to me from My Finds. Since you're PC savvy, two things I'd recommend checking : whether you have the latest .NET updates, and the GPX file. It's just a XML file, open it in a text editor and at the very end you should see the closing wpt and gpx tags. Edit : don't mean to imply there's no problem with CacheStats, of course. Just thought I'd point out how to eliminate other possiblilities first. Edited March 27, 2009 by Chrysalides Quote Link to comment
+JPost
Everything is up to date... and my gpx file is about 3.5kb Quote Link to comment
+Chrysalides
Everything is up to date... and my gpx file is about 3.5kb That seems rather small for 34 caches - do you mean the zipped size or unzipped? Mine weighs in at 1.36 MB with about 380 finds. Did you try to open the file in a text editor and see if everything looks good? It should start with: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <gpx xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" version="1.0" creator="Groundspeak Pocket Query" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/0 http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/0/gpx.xsd http://www.Groundspeak.com/cache/1/0 http://www.Groundspeak.com/cache/1/0/cache.xsd" xmlns="http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/0"> <name>My Finds Pocket Query</name> and end with: </Groundspeak:cache> </wpt> </gpx> And in between are every single find, wrapped up in the wpt tag. Edit : there are 2 files in the My Finds PQ - you extracted the one that is all numbers, right? That is your finds. The other xxxxxxxx-wpts.gpx is the intermediate waypoints file and is not needed. +JPost
I could have swore I clicked the correct file of the two after I unzipped it and I remember even thinking that the other one was only waypoints but after looking at it looks like I did only save the waypoints. I had had a few Captain and Cokes that night... hey, I AM on vacation! Well since I deleted the other (thinking THAT was the waypoints) I guess I'll wait until it runs in a few days and give it another go. Keystone
What is the exact filename of the file you were trying to feed to the software? Quote Link to comment

Look at the file in notepad (or some text editing program). Among the first few lines, you should see the line: <name>My Finds Pocket Query</name> Quote Link to comment
+JPost
Ok, now I got it. I have been away from my work email for over a week and that is where all of these "my finds" emails were coming to. I loaded the gpx file and everything is working great. Sorry for wasting everyone's time... Quote Link to comment
