Pocket Queries Not Running

I tried running four pocket queries yesterday. The only ones that ran were the "my finds" and a "caches along a route" query. The others did not run. I tried the two standard queries agan this morning and they did not run.

Some facts:

1. I don't have any PQ's set to run automatically. I have not run any other queries in the last two weeks.

2. The two that did not run have been set up for over a year. I run them once every couple of weeks. They've always been fine.

3. Each of them previewed with caches.

4. It is not an email issue - they simply did not run. Their check boxes are still checked. I always ask that the day of the week be deleted when the query is run.

5. I made sure that I adjusted for the difference between Eastern and Pacific time (ie, I ran them on Saturday and it was Saturday here on the east coast and on the West Coast. It is now Sunday and I ran them again - still nothing).

Any help would be appreciated.

I have not received notifications on two queries that have been set for a looooooong time. These stopped on March 11, 2009. I did receive one from another query that was generated on the 14th. I can not figure out what is wrong. I'm sorry to say that I am glad someone else is having the same problem.

 

Has anyone had other communication that they understand they have a problem? It's not on our end. Like I said, I did get one on the 14th but not the others.

I just did a test.

 

I took two 'saved' PQs that I've not run in months and one I ran a few days ago. I only clicked the checkbox on one of the old ones and the one from Wednesday. I opened the other old one and checked Sunday then submitted it.

 

I then created a new one to run today.

 

All 4 ran and are in my inbox. I will say that the two old ones and the brand new one that I did first did take a slight bit longer than normal to run, but it is later on the East coast than here and people might be running more PQs there...I don't know.

I have had the same problem. Two queries run,checked they are OK in preview but have not received by email. In addition loading files to GPS is no longer working to my Garmin CSX60. The pop up window loads OK, it is communciating with the GPS OK (have run test) but it is not downloading to the GPS from site. This is the first time I have had this problem. Help please?

Have you read any of the many other threads regarding both your problems?

 

There are many suggestions of things to try you might find helpful.

The two I entered this morning are still sitting there with check marks but they are not running. I tried a different saved one and for whatever reason it ran and I received the file via email. There simply doesnt seem to be any consistency. I think I'll just try to run a couple automatically this week and see what happens. Very, very strange.

I don't think we have the same problem. Mine are not running at all. You state that yours are running and you are not receiving your email.

I have 1 PQ that I want to run every day...it's for my local area and I want to keep a good update with every day. All my other PQs run on an as-needed basis.

 

This one PQ that I want to run every day...hasn't ran in over 3 days now. It is the ONLY PQ that is selected to run. I don't care at what "time" it runs...I just want it to run every day.

 

Are we looking at a GC server failure?

Mine are not running at all either. It's a problem with Geocaching I think.

Are yours previously scheduled or new?

 

The OP is talking about new queries not running.

 

Previously scheduled queries are a totally different problem that is being discussed elsewhere.

The best way to do this is create 7 identical PQ's and schedule each one to run weekly on a different day of the week. That will reduce, but not eliminate, the time creep associated with scheduled PQ's.

 

Cumbersome solution but the best there is right now.

An update - My pocket queries just ran. More than two full days after they were requested! I guess it is better to have them late than not have them at all.

From what I've seen and from other posts, it seems the problem is with any PQ that has been generated at least once. Only new ones generate. The "recurring" schedule seems to be broken.

 

I have several that have not run since 3/10. Copying them and then checking the day box is the only workaround I've found to work. Or creating a new one and checking the box. Either way, the system recognizes only "never" in the date generated box.

 

There are several threads running on this issue.

I also had a few which were not coming through since the 10th (ironically the date I payed for my second year of PM after 2 months without). I could force the issue by copying the query which I did use once.

 

However today I did get a scheduled PQ without the workaround YAY!
