+Klemmer Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Yeah, but when it's 100+ degrees, and the hills are all on fire, I wish I was back in Buffalo...... And then there are the earthquakes..... It's always something. Quote
+Harry Dolphin Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Okay. It's official. I hate winter! Not only has it been snowing all day today, but, to add insult to injury, we had a magnitude 3 earthquake last night! Yes. In Jersey! Quote
+Klemmer Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Magnitude 3 in nothing. We have one a month of those. It's the magnitude 6+ that will really get you rockin' ! Quote
+Ernmark Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 ..we've had some mini-quakes here in Central PA lately. Great - The drive to the Jersey Shore already takes 4 hours..now if PA & NJ start drifting apart...! Quote
+Astro_D Posted February 12, 2009 Author Posted February 12, 2009 After my little 'adventure' last week, I am way ready for winter to be over!!! My jeep got totaled after encountering black ice on the highway. And according to the one witness, it went airborne, flipped twice and rolled twice. I was truly blessed to walk away from it with a neck strain and not have any other person or vehicle involved. The jeep didn't look as bad as I thought it would either. Quote
2oldfarts (the rockhounders) Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Oh my gawd!!! Thank goodness you are pretty much OK! Shirley~ Quote
+Klemmer Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Ouch! I drive a little bit newer Jeep, same color. Now I know what it would look like if I trashed it. Thought I was going to roll it down a hill once, off a narrow hillside trail (I almost needed clean underwear!). Now I know what it would have looked like (the Jeep, that is!). Glad you're OK. Be careful out there. Quote
