delashguy
Can you put a geocache in the water that is only accessible by boat? Quote Link to comment
+MountainRacer
Absolutely. Just be sure to classify it as 5-star terrain when you're filling out the cache form. (Also, go through all the usual stuff: make sure it's not private property, invest in a good container that can stand up to being wet all the time, etc.) Quote Link to comment
+Team Woodward
On a lake just north of me there is one out on a small island (canoed out for that one) & one chained to a log underwater for scuba divers (can't hold my breath that long). Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
You sure can. Just remember that it's illegal to tamper with or attach anything to buoys. Quote Link to comment

+trainlove
Even with the owner's permission? Yes. And will you want every visitor to your cache to be arrested by the USCG or local enforcement officials. Quote Link to comment
