+StarBrand Posted August 29, 2008 Share Posted August 29, 2008 Can't beat the Geko for kid friendly. However - it just isn't a very powerful GPS unit. I would upgrade to the Venture HC. Color screen, map memory, high sensitivity, USB, long battery life and a small rugged form factor. About $138 (shop around). Quote Link to comment

ao318 Posted August 30, 2008 Share Posted August 30, 2008 (edited) I bought my kids each the Venture CX. They like it and have had no problems finding caches. I also have the 60csx and they don't cache without me. We also are not in an area that has poor reception so the high sensitivity receiver wasn't that important to us. My kids are 9 and 12.
