Beyond The Wall
Has anyone else been experiencing notification e-mails with no content? For about a week now I've had some e-mails from gc.com arrive with just the subject line. Log details and weblinks are all missing from the message. PQ's are fine but watchlist, owner and notify mails are mostly blank. Quote Link to comment
HazelS
Yep... See This Page from last week Quote Link to comment
scottpa100
People have reported problems with this IF you are using AVG anti-virus. You'll need to update your AVG antivirus. AVG can be updated by downloading the patch from this here linky. if you're not using AVG anti-virus - er... dunno. I've not experienced problems. Quote Link to comment
Beyond The Wall
followed your link and it is for the same version of AVG which I already have running on my PC, so none the wiser. Hopefully AVG will pick up the error (if it is them and not GC.COM) and rectify with the next update. Quote Link to comment
scottpa100
It'll be a quirk on your PC then - I'm on AVG and obviously receive e-mails from GC too. And they're coming through fine. I'd suggest going through the other forum that Hazel has linked to and going through some of suggestions there. Quote Link to comment
Beyond The Wall
Just been talking to another cacher and they have recently started recieving blank e-mails too. Has anyone come up with a definate solution as the suggestion of turning off verification is not available on AVG version 8.0.138 Quote Link to comment

Beyond The Wall
have now found the certification check box, it was under advanced settings on the tools menu. have disabled it and will see if that cures the problem. Quote Link to comment
momagic48
I recently had similar problems, I too am on AVG. Emailed GC.com who infomed me of issues with that update of AVG. Since then I have sorted out the problem and recieve emails ok now. Quote Link to comment
