  1. have now found the certification check box, it was under advanced settings on the tools menu. have disabled it and will see if that cures the problem.
  2. Just been talking to another cacher and they have recently started recieving blank e-mails too. Has anyone come up with a definate solution as the suggestion of turning off verification is not available on AVG version 8.0.138
  3. followed your link and it is for the same version of AVG which I already have running on my PC, so none the wiser. Hopefully AVG will pick up the error (if it is them and not GC.COM) and rectify with the next update.
  4. Has anyone else been experiencing notification e-mails with no content? For about a week now I've had some e-mails from gc.com arrive with just the subject line. Log details and weblinks are all missing from the message. PQ's are fine but watchlist, owner and notify mails are mostly blank.
  5. Ding! The ironic thing is that Amy Johnson was one of the first shareholders in Airspeed!
  6. She was flying from Blackpool to RAF Kidlington, and bailed out into the Thames Estuary, in which she drowned. Her would be rescuer died in his attempt to rescue her. I cannot remember the type of aircraft. Richard Right place, but we still need the aircraft!
  7. Will try a dnf log on one of my caches (so as not to upset anyone else) and see what happens
  8. Yes, you need to be more specific, however you are on the right track.
  9. Aviatrix Amy Johnson died on 5 Jan 1941, but where? What aircraft was she flying at the time?
  10. Did the Calverton/Woodborough Circular in Nottinghamshire last week, 12 caches plus bonus cache and there are 2 others along the route as well making 15 in 5 miles. There is also another 13 cache series with a couple of extra singles and a trig in Epperstone which is 2.5 miles from the start of the Calverton series this is also about 5 miles. So an easy 30 or so in a good days walking.
  11. I think the answer is STRESSED DESSERTS though how a dessert could be stressed i'm not sure. I only heard it recently on a radio or tv quiz or something.
  12. Oh yes it does!! On my main account, (the one I log my finds on) I have my full quota of 5 PQ's a day which run every week. If I run the "my finds" query on that account, it will return all my finds and then reset, as Father Ted quite rightly said. However, on my second account on which I have not logged any finds, the "my finds" query returns no finds and repeats every week, and it won't allow me to activate any more than 4 other queries for that day. As has been stated you cannot schedule it to run repeatedly, and it does not appear on the PQ list, but the system seems to think its there and won't reset it. I guess it must be a bug in the code. I pressed the button thinking I was logged into the main account and it has run ever since.
  13. I inadvertantly selected the "my finds" query on my second account and I can now only select 4 queries from the grid to run on the same day as the "my finds". My main account has all 5 queries selected, and the "my finds" was chosen afterwards, which means I get 6 queries on that day. My question is, can it be turned off again? The button is now greyed out and I cannot find any reference to it anywhere.
  14. GPS enabled pocket PC or smartphone such as Nokia N95 or pocket and Geocache Navigator from Trimble, allows caching on the fly. You can download cache details, find the cache and log on the move. Geocache Navigator is a free download, link available from GC.com site.
