OK, we can have notifications of new caches etc based on a central point and we can have PQs for along a route.

What would be handy would be if we could have notifications along a route (such as a mile each side of a daily commute)

just broaden your notification radius - or set up separate notifcations.

 

I have a "work" radius and a "home" radius. Seems to work out just fine.

I do that already and get notifications for caches I have no interest in.

Using the same mechanism to define PQ's and notifications would make them more much more powerful and useful. I for one have been pushing for a change in notifications where I can filter out notifications for caches I have already found.

Yes, maybe we can come up with a way to have searches, PQs, and notifications use the same interface. Notifications are slightly different because they watch logs, not caches. But that could be solved by having an extra set of checkboxes for "log types".
