A 487 = 5 pts for the mark + 50 pts for FTR = 55 E 53 = 5 pts for the mark + 10 pts for being pre-1950 = 15 A 492 = 5 pts as an additional A 4XX find? If yes then it = 05 Total is either 70 pts or 75 pts depending on whether extra finds are allowed. Or perhaps we don't get the 5 points for the benchmark if we get a bonus for it? Please explain the scoring so us old and slow folks can understand your line of thinking. Thanks, John Quote Link to comment
+GEO*Trailblazer 1
Or perhaps we don't get the 5 points for the benchmark if we get a bonus for it? I thought it would be easier to do just getting the points for each one instead of adding. I wondered how long it would be before someone asked. So it is just straight points per find. topflitejr1
TOF's, I just noticed the mileage on your GPSr. Is that "original" miles, or have you rolled it over more than once? Hope your not leasing it cause they'll hit you with some serious penalties when you turn it back in to the Dealer. Maybe you can do an Ad for Magellan and it could go something like this; "We've been through several vehicles over the years while Benchmarking/Geocaching, but We've only used one GPSr and it's a Magellan-nothing but the best for us!" I visited this mark a few years ago, so I don't want to clutter things up with a duplicate log any longer than necessary.) For bingo square "H 0XX A" from Week 3 (I think; the posting doesn't say), HT3237. None of them are really old, and all have been found before, so I guess they just earn 5 pts. each. Team Fawlty
I'm a little confused. I need some clarification on the rules. On the wild card letters. We have three of them: E 0XX R; H 0XX A; and B 0XX N If we recover the designations starting with the wild card letters of R, A or N are we suppose to recover only triangulation stations for them. For example: E 0XX R- We could use ME2699 But not ME1901 For H 0XX A- ME2893 this one would be okay. ME1772 would be wrong. For B 0XX N- ME2796 good but QW0599 wouldn't work. First on the list was out in the middle of nowhere and it was a N/F. It is still Not Found! If you go looking you may find some pieces of our back window though. Got out of the truck and was about to start looking and remembered I needed something from the back seat. What I really needed was the keys from the ignition so I could unlock the door! I tried to get the back window latch to pop loose and found out just how easily the rear windows shatter! From that point on the day just went through the sky! We recovered a total of 7 benchmarks. ALL were FTR! 2of those were from 1934, so that is an extra 20 points. The grand prize for the day was a N/F by the NGS that was monumented in 1934 and was a FTR! Worth 160 points! That makes our grand total for today 470 points.
