+whereissit Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Otsiningo Park in Binghamton, New York has added faux foxes to scare away the geese. Are they the next great hiding spot for geocaches? If you were with a group, would you draw straws to ensure it was not a really "still" living fox? We found a fake squirrel key holder used as a cache once. It did make us take a step back. We still see those beady little eyes. Quote
+MommaLogan Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 I'd look for it! Only because I was born in Binghamton and used to go to that park!!!! :-) It does sound like a neat idea. I'm sure real foxes would run if they saw humans coming.... Quote
+simpjkee Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 I'd find it. I've seen all kinds of fake animals as cache containers. birds rabbits lizards squirrels frogs turtles there may be more I can;t think of. Quote

Yes, I once found a cache under a full-size fake horse. I can't mention where the micro was located. It is unmentionable... Quote
+Kit Fox Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 One of my favorite cache finds was hidden on a brass, African Warthog. The cache was hidden at a Landrover dealership's "Africa Display." To find the cache, you had to fondle the boar. I found it very amusing. Quote
+Taoiseach Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Otsiningo Park in Binghamton, New York... Well, I plan on going to Bingo one day, hopefully in the next couple of years to see the B-Sens play I look forward to finding one of these Quote
+sbell111 Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 I would definitely do it. Of course, I'm trying to find an excuse to get back to Binghamton. That being said, am I the only one that thinks that the fake fox in the picture looks like he's taking a poop? Quote
CoyoteRed Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 That's a huge fox compared to what we're used to. WE have red foxes around here. A lot smaller, white chest, dark legs, reddish coat, and a bushy tail. Quote

+Stargazer22 Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 I think it'd make a fine cache! There's a very famous cache down here in Jacksonville, FL that is on a fake lion statue. As of today it's had 200 finds. Of course it's in a 'sensitive' area of the statue! Quote
+Too Tall John Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 That looks more like a wiley coyote ...I thought it looked like a little Scottie dog. What's that big lumpy thing in front of 'em? Quote

+redtech Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 I think it looks like a small wild boar. It doesn't look like any fox I've ever seen. Quote
