+GOT GPS?
I only found out about Wherigo this morning. Now I'm stuck with either the PN-20 or the Colorado, with a leaning toward the PN-20. This is very interesting with the Colorado setup for Wherigo. First post here. Quote Link to comment
+Marky
I only found out about Wherigo this morning. Now I'm stuck with either the PN-20 or the Colorado, with a leaning toward the PN-20. This is very interesting with the Colorado setup for Wherigo. First post here. I would stay away from the PN-20, I haven't heard of anyone being happy with it. Plus, the PN-20 can't do this: Cache pages downloaded directly from the page to the GPS. Sweet! Quote Link to comment
+trailhound1
Marky, I own a PN-20 and it is wonderful...especially compared to my Garmin etrex. You are right, you cannot download directly to the PN-20; that's because Groundspeak has let to add a button like they did for Garmin. I remember when you had to use a third-party software to download to a Garmin, and before that when you had to type the information directly into the unit. Delorme was the first to support Garmin. However, you can still do paperless geocaching with the PN-20 using Topomap 7 software that comes with the unit. Its only a matter of time before direct downloading is available. And, finally the Oregon and Colorado are still limited by the software the Garmin produces, which is nothing compared to the map/GIS software by Delorme. Quote Link to comment
+MickEMT
I have the Colorado 300, haven't had any major problems with it, but IMHO, I'd ask around your area and see if anyone has one that you could try first. If you are used to something like the Garmin Ledgend or 60 series, the Colorado is VERY different, takes some getting used to. Quote Link to comment
Clan Riffster
My brother has the Delorme PN-40 and it just simply blew me away. For standard caching, it is easily the equal to the 60CSx, which I own. If it would run Wherigo cartridges, I would buy one today. Quote Link to comment
