Magellan Dominican Republic map

Looking for Topo or roadmap for Dominican republic for Magellan...Someone can help me?

Check the Magellan web site. If they have such a map, it might be cheaper on Ebay.

Magellan Worlwide Basemap. I've used it in several ~ 6 (?) countries. Highways & Main roads, not residential ones. But it was better than nothing. Make sure it will work with your unit. Worked well with my Meridian.

There is no such map, i live in the dominican republic, the best you can get is the world wide map, is the one i have and the best you can get.

Street level, topo outside of the civilized world, good luck, I travel frequently to the NE of Brazil and lucked out with Garminmapsearch.com, downloaded some maps for my Garmin, better than nothing, street detail about the best.

Sample of what you get from Magellan Worlwide Basemap. Not great. Might be better than a flat gray background on the GPSr screen......

 

Another possible option: Delorme is a very serious mapping company. Their professional grade software XMAP now has download capability to their handheld GPSr, the PN-20. You might ask Delorme if they have anything on the Dominican Republic that could go into XMAP, then the PN-20. Would NOT be inexpensive, but that might be about all you could get in the way of maps on a GPSr for the Dominican Republic. Could be aerial photos also.

I have WWBM and for my neck of the woods the roads are at least 3km off or 10 years old, I only use it for the topo, otherwise it is useless.
