+RED 5
When you post a "Needs Maintenance" log does the local Admin automatically get notified (as with a "Needs Archived" log), or just the cache owner and anyone else who is "watching" the cache? Link to comment
+Isonzo Karst
They are not forwarded to admins Link to comment
+StarBrand
Just the owner, watchers and posted on listing page. No admins. On the other hand, you should not be using a NM log for problems that are so severe that it would require admin involment. That is what the SA log is for. NM is mostly for small shanges, new logbook, cracked container, rusty hinges etc.... SA is for guideline violations that requite a cache site to be permenantly closed down. Link to comment
Keystone
The whole point of adding the "Needs Maintenance" log type was to provide something less drastic than the "Needs Archived" log. Use "Needs Maintenance" to flag an issue for the owner and other geocachers. Use "Needs Archived" if the volunteer cache reviewer's attention is needed. I get complaints once every month or so, for "not doing anything" about a cache with the "needs maintenance" icon flagged. My reply says "thanks for letting me know about the issue." Link to comment
