family_on_the_go!
Is it ok to revisit a geocache? For example I see a travel bug is in my local area at a geocache I have already logged. Can I go back to retrive the TB and move it along? Thanks! Quote Link to comment

+sauterelledesiles
Thanks for the question and the replies... as a "tadpole" I was wondering the same thing. As we get ready to travel for the holidays, we might get some TB on the move. Sauterelledesiles Quote Link to comment
+RussellM
If you revisit a cache and log it as found again, does that throw off your find count? I've been trying to decide this for years Quote Link to comment
+Isonzo Karst
If you revisit a cache and log it as found again, does that throw off your find count? If you log another "find" your find count will go up 1. If you log 10 finds, your find count will go up 10. Quote Link to comment

+sataraid1
There is a cache close to home I visit repeatedly for the purpose of dropping off TBs. The cache is kind of lonely, and when I put TBs in there people visit it more frequently. I just leave a "TB drop" note in the log and on the cache listing. Quote Link to comment

As was pointed out, you can log multiple "finds" on a cache and yes, your count of smileys will go up. Quote Link to comment
+CSpenceFLY
Seems I look at this a little different then others. While I don't think it is wrong to revisit a cache to drop a TB or to move one along that has been stuck for a while. I feel it is a bit wrong to revisit the same cache over and over to remove TBs or coins. TBs are somewhat of an incentive for some people to visit a cache. I think you are robbing the cache owner of new cache entries. Quote Link to comment

As was pointed out, you can log multiple "finds" on a cache and yes, your count of smileys will go up. I am one of those who disagree. If someone logs the same cache 10 times, their number of caches "Found" will increase by 10, but they really haven't found 10 caches, they've found one cache 10 times. The statistic is labelled "Found" which to me implies unique caches found. That's just my opinion, and of course you are free to log how you wish. +Earl B. Fisk
My way of thinking is 1 smiley = 1 find. If you can't get another smiley, it's not a find. Anyway, how can you "find" something if you already know where it is? Quote Link to comment
+Scare Force One
I have definatly gone back to pick up a TB in a cache I have already found. It's incouraged to pick up a TB anytime as long as you can move it along soon. ~.~Scare Force One Quote Link to comment
