Garmin8888 Posted May 13, 2007 Share Posted May 13, 2007 I bought a new Laptop and I am putting in Mapsource City Select Europe V6 onto my laptop and I get message saying "There is a problem with the Registery please re-install it, Mapsource and start it again." It as Windows Vista Home premium as the operating system. it is not that, as I tried it on my other PC which as Win 98 and it says the same message.... what is wrong please? Quote Link to comment

+hogrod Posted May 14, 2007 Share Posted May 14, 2007 If I were you I would email or call garmin... this is more of a vista compatibility issue than anything. I also ran into issues with my city select NA V7 on vista, luckily I was able to install XP to fix the issue. Quote Link to comment

Neo_Geo Posted May 14, 2007 Share Posted May 14, 2007 I just successfully installed City Select 5 on a Vista machine with no problems. Why would you go to the trouble of contacting Garmin if the answer to the problem has already been given? I would try the suggested fix (Install MapSource 6.12.3) first, and THEN if that didn't fix the problem, I would contact Garmin. ...just my 2¢ Quote Link to comment

I did the Regedit trick and I have just downloaded Mapsources latest, now everthing works except the "Set PC Clock" action says to save to cliboard (where ever that is)! and send to Garmin Tech Team... cheers guys!
