3rd Annual Temecula Valley Caching Event...can you say Mega?

Ok, so it's not really that time yet, but in case other people may be coming from places OTHER than Southern California, I wanted to give them time to plan.

Mark your calendars for Feb 18th, 2007!

It's time for the 3rd annual Temecula Valley caching event! Last year we had over 300 attendies, and this year we are shooting for Mega!

I will edit this post with a link to the cache page once it is approved. (We need special permission for an early posting since we won't officially be a Mega event until we have acheived 500 attendies.)

For searching caches in the area, use zip 92562 until we get the page listed.

For anyone wanting to make the trip out here, the best airport to search for flight info is Ontario, CA (ONT in the fair shopping sites.)

We will keep you posted!

Not that cache density is a problem, but there will be quite a few new caches placed between now and then.

I am working on several that should prove interesting to folks who been in the area and found most of the existing caches.

(I know, I could have just said "BUMP". But where is the fun in that? )

The WolfPack from 'Geocache Alaska' is looking forward to this event!

At least 3 of us are heading down to thaw out and chase caches around SoCal,

from the Inland Empire across to the Temecula Valley... it's going to be fun!

We've purchased our tickets - into Palm Springs on Thursday the 15th,

cache Imperial Valley etc & then drift over to the Geocoinfest, followed by our

attendance at TCVE III on Sunday before catching a redeye flight back to Alaska

from LAX on Sunday night. Would love to hear from the local cachers about favorites,

including great trails. We're doing the Painted Canyon series and the

Pushawalla Power Path before heading west... any other suggestions?

Dear TVCE3 Event planers,

Will you be offering communion ?

Is this a nondenominational event ?

Will there be parking for my dirigible ?

How long can I keep Christamas Turkey leftovers ?

Well, it Hazz to be non-denominational...you already posted to the event page that you were bringing your hand-crafted, Amish furniture to offer for sale...

Did I mention the $500 charge for a vendor spot?

I still dont understand why this event is listed as a regular event when there are other events already listed as a mega.

This one is listed as a mega and some of the log indicate they dont think it will even reach the attendence needed.

Just sucks to have this event be handicapped from the start. Doesn't matter...we can still make this happen.

Groundspeak said that the organizers of that event have told them they are expecting 700 people, and that 500 is a lock. Based on that, they were allowed to list it as a Mega. It appears we will make it, but since I couldn't promise...we won't get it until after...
