I've also been having the same problem. It seems to hang while trying to download a file ending in silk.book.png or something like that.

Its working fine for me in both IE and Firefox. Are you maybe blocking scripts/images from Google?

I'm having the same problem. I've been using the Google Maps successfully until a couple of days ago. I have not made any changes to my browser.

Works fine for me in the latest version of FX.

What browser are you using?

I'm using IE6 right now. I'm stuck with dial-up out here in the boonies, so I can't download anything else right now.

By the way...still not working here.

I'm also still having a problem. IE and a DSL connection. It was great the first couple of times I used it. Now I lose patience and close the window before it even loads.

For people that are having problems viewing the maps.. is there a # symbol at the end of the URL in the address bar? If there is and you remove it does that solve the problem?

I'm still having problems, I tried the Shift F5, no luck, there are no # signs at the end of the URL, I get a partial page blank in the midddle, as if it thinks it has fully loaded the map, but I can't see if. No hourglass, just a pointer.

Okay, I've been messing with it a bit and get it to partially load, here's what's going on.

After the page locks up I have a green bar. In the right portion of the green bar is a + and a -, click on the -, then delete the # sign from the end of the URL and click Go. The map will load, but not show the bubble indicating a cache location, there will be a shadow of the invisible bubble. The list of nearby caches will show up on the right. If I highlight a cache then the bubble with the cache number also appears on the map. Hope this makes sense. It's a work around anyway until the real problem is fixed. Note, sometimes the bubble load, sometimes they don't.

That worked for me. The bubbles loaded, and it pans and refreshes quickly.
