Hi,

I'm going to be in Maui and Kauai starting next monday and was wondering if there were some particularly great caches I shouldn't miss.

Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

Here's four on Maui that I recently did. Took the whole family and had lots of fun. Make sure you drink lots of water and wear sunscreen!

My suggestion would be to plan caches around the sightseeing you'll be doing. Have fun!

My daughter just finished caching in maui. She said their were no bad caches.

I don't get this. She goes to Hawaii, And I stayed home.:unsure:

The way Google Geoearth looks if you do all 51 caches on maui, You'll see the entire Island.

We spent ten days on Maui in January and found about thirty caches and all were good. If we had to pick favorites, they would be:

Eddie's Nakalele Blowhole Hideout by McIrish Clan (GC151F) -- MUST SEE

Lunar Landscape by Pa Pa K (GCRE31) -- Don't forget to continue on down and around the corner for a close-up encounter with a blow hole

GEWs BIG Beach by boilerg (GCR0XP) - go at sunset

Trail's End by TeamMoehrke (GC676E) - Virtual

Busted Bunny Cache by czechcachers (GC3574) - petroglyphs below and great view above

Haleakala Glory by Team RCTZ (GCH33F) - Virtual, peer into the maw of the volcano

Turtle Town/Maluaka by weegawk (GCKGZ0) - great beach, snorkling

Iao Valley by WhipLash511 (GCGQAM) - something different away from surf and sand

Cliffs Edge, Maui by Bpinc (GC2B47) - great view, whale watching...don't let the name scare you off

The Palm Of The Hand by 47kyle47,TrevorMagic3,and The Bean Burrito Clan (GCG04R)

This selection is based on terrain, fun, and/or scenic value. We did get to do any caches on the road to Hana, but there are several over there I wish we'd done.

Slain Queen Cave by Scott Brafford and Carl Driver (GC12D3)

Ka'eleku Cavern Cave Cache by Allen Walker (GC76F)

Also, there are many new caches that have been placed since we were there.

Have a great time!!!

Might want to check with jahoadi and john. John just got back from Maui and I think he tried to hit all 51 caches on the island...

 I did just get back from Hawaii (had to go for work darn B) ). I was on Oahu the whole time, so I can't tell you anything about the Islands you are going too sorry. My take was 21 caches!! :(
