+maggieszoo Posted June 16, 2006 Share Posted June 16, 2006 Hi! Maggieszoo here. I'm thinking of getting a geocaching club together for the Scioto Valley in South Central Ohio. Would you be interested in being a part of it? I'm not sure what we would do as a club, probably organize an event or two a year and maybe a meet and eat every couple of months for fun. Maybe we could help each other watch over our cache hides. Coaster offered us server space on the geocacheohio.com site for forum chatting and news unless someone wants to handle web duties. I really wanted to go to your Hogwarts Weekend but couldn't get off work. You really put some hard work into our sport. I have the same ideas. Alot of cachers in our area have some outstanding caches. Myself being fairly new to geocaching, I could learn alot from the seasoned members. Event cache name is Chillicothe Wednesday Evening Post. We'll also have some tb racers available for purchase. They are rubber ducks. I think the goal for them will be to get to next year's geobash! They are $10, with proceeds going to defray costs for our next get-together at Tommyo61's place Halloween weekend. Keep an eye out for the listing. He has a gorgeous place for outdoor events. Oh, we have a name!! Thanks to Coaster, we are Scioto Watershed Area Geocachers. We have some space in the forums of www.cogeocaching.org if the site ever comes back up. See y'all down the trail.
