I thought it was a pretty fair question. I too was disappointed that the colors were so bad. I don't know if it was the minter, or a mistake after approval, or what but the colors definately aren't very good. Quote Link to comment

The issue is that the art looks fine, but the Pantone colors specified don't match up well with the artwork. If you're using WinXP, the colors on screen will always look a lot darker than they actually are. Quote Link to comment

The mint used one color in the grapic, but listed a different pantone number in the text. I went out and got a pantone chart, and the color on the final coins was perfect. Quote Link to comment
