Andys101 & Redfrock
We are going camping in Cambridge at the end of next week for 10 days and our prime source of amusement will of course be caching Can anybody point us in the direction of those caches that really shouldn't be missed and maybe also those that aren't all that great (best email me with those ones through my profile .... don't want to offend anybody) Thanks Claire Edited for the most appalling spelling mistake in history Edited April 13, 2006 by Andys101 & Redfrock Quote Link to comment
+*mouse*
I haven't cached in Cambridgshire myself but I know that there is an event cache in Ely (not to far away) on the 22nd. If you were able to visit I'm sure the local cachers there should be able to help East Anglian cache Event Edited April 13, 2006 by *mouse* Quote Link to comment
+Nellies Knackers
And theres an excellent multi around ely that takes you round some of the best bits but read the recipe carefully or you'll end up in a sheltered housing scheme. We hope to be at the meet as long as all goes to plan. Quote Link to comment
+The Klever Boys
We've done a number of Huga's Park and Hide series, but this one looks fun (although we haven't attempted it yet!): http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...c9-9f539adefaff Quote Link to comment
+gazooks
A couple that I have enjoyed in the area are: Last Post (GCGGQR) The Hunt for Red October : Part 3 - Wimpole Folly (GCHY7K) I've also done the one mentioned by The Klever Boys which needs a little while to walk to from the 'learning shop' if you have time. enjoy gazooks/Graeme Quote Link to comment
Andys101 & Redfrock
Thanks for the ideas - don't think we shall be able to get the meet as we shall have only just arrived which is a shame. Looks like there are some good ones that we shall be making a point of doing Quote Link to comment
+Mr Nibbler
If you do Last Post you could do Cold Hard Cache which isn't very far away. The Park and Hide series is good for your stats and StAG Hunt is a devilishly difficult public retrieve if attempted during the day. There are a few more around the city and plenty in the general area. Have fun - shame you can't make the Ely event. Quote Link to comment
Andys101 & Redfrock
bumping one last time, just in case, as we set off tomorrow (cannot come soon enough!) Quote Link to comment
+calvin-gps
bumping one last time, just in case, as we set off tomorrow (cannot come soon enough!) I'd say Cambridge Dates GCNWXQ is a must do. It's a mini guided tour of the city followed by a cache. Quote Link to comment
