+Beffums
Ok, so say you went out to check on one of your caches. You had yet to get any DNFs on it, you just were doing normal rounds on your hides. If you got there, opened the cache, checked there was adequate swag, dry contents, etc etc... but didn't need to do anything, would you log it as a note or as that new option - owner maintenance? I guess the question mostly is - unless there was a needs maintenace log on the cache, does it matter? Does it make a difference to reviewers (or anyone else), if there's a recent owner maintenance log vs a note saying that the owner swung by their cache and checked in on it? It's just something I wonder about when I'm trying to note maintenance runs on caches... edit: typos Edited March 9, 2006 by Beffums Quote Link to comment
+Sugar Glider Sweatshop
We don't know if it makes any difference or not, but we use Owner Maintenance if we actually fixed something (replaced damp log, replaced muggled cache, moved cache back to proper hiding spot, etc.) and a Note if we just confirmed that the cache is still there, and everything's OK. +BillsBayou
If I go to the trouble of going out there to see if it is still there, still ok, etc, then that's maintenance. If someone posts anything in the logs to which I feel I must respond, it's a note. Not that I practice what I preach, but those seem to be the basics for me. Quote Link to comment

+Big Sky Explorers
It would be nice to log the visit on take an inventory to post. I would like that as a cache seeker. Quote Link to comment
+ZackJones
I use the owner maintenance log. I like the Green and White Plus sign Quote Link to comment
+Segerguy
It would give me confidence as a seeker that the cache was still available and in good shape, worth my time to seek it out. I would like that. Quote Link to comment
[RR]Macavity
As a matter of fact, I posted an Owner Maintenance log for Digital Dreams today - almost lost it to some high winds, so I had to move it elsewhere. It's still available, though. Quote Link to comment
+Team Red Oak
Huh I never noticed the owner maintenance icon and have always posted a note. I wonder if I can go back and change the icons from when I actually did maintenance? Quote Link to comment
