+The Canning Clan
Hey All: brand new to geocaching and we're addicted!!!! I've been looking at GSAK and think I like it but loading caches in 1 at a time is very time consuming. Is there a downloadable file that gives all Nova Scotia caches or something along that line? thanks for any help The canning Clan Link to comment
+mrking
You would need a GPX file that is generate from GC.com. For that you have to become a premium member to get access to Pocket Queries (PQ) which is just a search engine for caches. It can dump out a GPX file of upto 500 caches at a time for you to import into GSAK. Great stuff. Hope this helps. Mike Link to comment
+PDOP's
mrking is right in that being a premium member and using Pocket Query Generator is the best way to do this. However even a regular member should be able to do a search for caches and download loc files of 20 caches (one page of search results) at a time. Hope you have fun caching Link to comment
+JDandDD
The other reason for becoming a Premium Member is that then you can get gpx files rather than loc files. The gpx format provides a lot more information about the cache and is an enhancement well worth it. And as the others have said then you can do pocket queries like the one you are talking about. +mtn-man
I am going to close this topic. Seems like you got your answers. Further GSAK questions are best answered by going to the GSAK site and/or forums. http://gsak.net/ http://www.gsak.net/board/ Thanks, and good luck! Link to comment
