+RichAromas
Thanks! They actually edited my description a bit, since Alex was rather confused, asking questions about whether it was a team or individual thing, and something else I don't remember that was decidedly irrelevant. H to the Bizzle!
Great job on the show, Rich. My jaw nearly dropped when I heard the word "geocaching" mentioned on Jeopardy. Quote Link to comment
Pipanella
Here is a link to the video interview:GeoJeopardy Thanks for posting that! I missed the beginning of the show. Quote Link to comment
+Snoogans
Here is a link to the video interview:GeoJeopardy Thanks for posting that! I missed the beginning of the show. Yes, thanks. I got a nice chuckle from Alex's parting comment. Rich, Everyone is quite correct. You came off like a pro at explaining our sport in just a few seconds. I would have totally effed that part up. Kudos dude. Everyone else should practice that short speech for the almost inevitable time you need to quickly explain it to the fuzz. Edited December 16, 2005 by Snoogans Quote Link to comment
+Klemmer
Very smooth job, Rich! Thanks for the geo-plug. Got two emails from relatives after the show. I guess I have a "rep" in the family. You get a free "bonus question" answer if you ever come down to SoCal & do one of our Disney Multi-Virtuals! Quote Link to comment
+comishcraig
Canadian or Geocacher.????? Well, being Canadian I ended up not taking sides (go figure) Now that's funny! Quote Link to comment
+treasure_hunter
WTG Rich, thats a good way to make Geocaching known to the public. If only we had more genius cachers. I caught the tail end of the show the other day. The question(s) What do you get/ win? Is a popular question among people you are trying to explain Geocaching to. Quote Link to comment
+Airmapper
Here is a link to the video interview:GeoJeopardy Thanks, what do ya know, it actually ran on my computer. I might just keep it and show people that cachers are commonplace, and intelligent people. Quote Link to comment
Team CCM
Awesome job on Jeopardy. We rooted for you. Quote Link to comment
+Frankie & Johnny
I detect something behind the grassy knoll. A final question related to a British PM asked by a host who is also a Canadian. Hmmmmmmmm. Quote Link to comment
+HaLiJuSaPa
Rich, did you go to RPI in Troy, NY (since it appears you mention it in an earlier post to this forum)? If you did, what years did you go? I was there from 1985-89. Edited December 20, 2005 by hairymon Quote Link to comment
+RichAromas
Yes, but from 1974-1978, about 10 years before you! Majored in Computer Science one of the first years it was offered - prior to that, it was a "concentration" of a Math major. I was there when the computers were in Amos Eaton Hall, before the creation of the new computer center in the old church! I don't mean to derail the thread, though... but feel free to PM me if you like! Quote Link to comment
Pinster56
Has anybody heard if that geocaching family who taped a Wife Swap episode a while back will ever get on the air? Quote Link to comment
nobby.nobbs
well it went very quiet and don't they have to keep it secret? so that would suggest that it was made and has yet to air. then he can presumably tell us about it again. when it comes on who fancies taping it and sending it over to me??? go on pretty please.
