+Bill & Tammy
I am finding that CITOing while looking for a "stealth" cache is great cover to discreetly search. Generally people picking up trash don't draw alot of attention and their focus in looking around is easily dismissed by onlookers. Quote Link to comment
+welch
yes, I've also noticed that generally onlookers will move away, in an attempt to not to be roped in I think Quote Link to comment
+Wander Lost
Most people will ignore someone picking up trash and if anyone does ask what you are doing you can tell them honestly what you are doing. When you find the cache, you can quickly tuck it into your bag and move off to a safe distance to log your find. (just make sure you remember how it was hidden so you can replace it correctly) Quote Link to comment
Team Firebird
Thats a very good idea. I normaly don't practice as much CITO as I should when doing caches that require stealth. Thanks for the ideas. Quote Link to comment
+GeoHawke
Being a brand new Geocacher (with my kids), we kinda discovered that by accident. We were hunting "Pinehurst DOCS" which is well-hidden, and kept running into trash during our search. We just grabbed a trashbag from our backpack and started filling it up. Since this cache is in a highly travelled area it provided "cover" for hunting the cache. We plan to use that "MO" in all busy muggle-heavy cache sites. Quote Link to comment
