4agers
We are pretty stoked about the Alien Encounter event coming up in September!!! Who is going to make it? Last year the event put on by these folks was very, very cool. Well thought out and executed equally as well. Even though we live close, we may get a hotel room just to hang out with some of the out-of-towners. Quote Link to comment

S Keillan
That looks very interesting. Unfortunately, that's the same weekend as the Fall Picnic in Indiana, which I'm afraid has the priority. However, I hope that it goes well for all who attend. Quote Link to comment
Bjorn74
You have to figure that there will be at least 300 people there this year, although weather will still probably be the biggest factor. Last year was a scorcher. I can't wait to see how whatever team Girlgeek and I end up on does in the end. Quote Link to comment
maggieszoo
If hubby (Wafflesdad) and I can get the time off work, I'd love to go. We had fun at the SWOGO Pigs CAN Fly event and can't wait to meet other cachers. Where are out of towners staying? It would be nice to be at the same hotel. +SherwoodForest
I believe there is info about the main hotel where everyone is gathering on the cache page itself -- you can get a cheap rate if you arrange rooms through one of the event hosts (Finding Fraggle Rock). The event should be a blast -- SerenityNow and FFR did a great job with last year's Amethyst Murder Event, and I am sure Alien Encounter will outshine even that... Quote Link to comment
4agers
The specific hotel is HERE, but you will want to schedule through Finding Fraggle Rock as Sherwood mentioned... much cheaper. How to see you there! Quote Link to comment
Polk Street Bandits
My wife and I would like to come, but we are still trying to find a third/fourth. IS there any one else out there looking for a pair to add to their team? Despite been noobs, we are experienced in the outdoors... but not in capturing aliens... We're in our late 20's, no kids... We'll probably stay the night down there. Quote Link to comment
4agers
Even if you don't find someone before the event... a lot of folks form teams that morning. The organizers help with this as well. Edited July 28, 2005 by 4agers Quote Link to comment
4agers
Don't know if the word got out, but they have some pretty cool shirts available!!! http://www.geochums.com/forums/index.php?s...84&st=0&p=9066& Quote Link to comment
maggieszoo
Our teammates had to cancel! Anybody wanna join up with two southwest Ohioans? One fairly noob and one brand noob (but has brand noob car!) need teammates! We are non-smokers, late 30's. One single female, one married female. We have a Garmin GPS72, a Garmin Gecko 101 and a Delorme attachment for the laptop with Delorme Street Atlas. Maggieszoo and AuntKay Quote Link to comment
