  1. At this point, I'm not sure what caused the problem. It seems like there may have been some corruption in one of the saves regarding several of my inputs. I removed the scripts and rewrote them exactly as before and everything's fine now. The real pain of it was that when I tried to save the file, it would erase a good file before it quite writing the new file, so I lost all of my good stuff. Lesson learned. I'm developing in stages now with a test file to save to first, then when I'm ready to save it as stage completes, I save it under the final filename.
  2. WAVs work fine as long as they're smaller. MP3 support isn't there, yet. Large WAVs will crash the player, btw.
  3. Must be something in the scripts. When I remove 5 and go on to add some more zones and media, it's fine. I'll see if I can narrow this down some more tomorrow.
  4. It seems that once I get enough objects in the cartridge to be getting somewhere the save is failing, leaving me with an unusable file. The error during the save is an Unhandled Exception. The weird thing is that if I open a file to edit and just try to save it under a new name, I get the error. But it only seems to be happening when I have a certain amount of data in the cartridge. If I delete a few scripts, it saves just fine. The file seems to stop writing around 560 lines but not reliably at the same point.
  5. This just happened today. Going from either the Zone Edit or using Map from the Tools menu, the function errors out with something about no data for the theme. "No Data Exists for the chosen Theme, Try another Theme." This is backed up by "There was an error using TerraSever Object Reference not set to an instance of an object."
  6. I was mistaken, then. PM sent.
  7. Ah, so MP3 isn't supported anymore. That (knowing about it) helps a lot. Looks like I've got some writing to do. Big presentation on Tuesday.
  8. Is there a size limit on audio files?
  9. The culprit was a & in the filenames. Spaces and extended length worked just fine. It looks great on the device. I'll let you know how it works in the field tomorrow.
  10. Are there restrictions on file name length and characters? The error I'm getting when publishing the cartridge says that it can't find a file that is in the location it lists. Aside from that, it looks pretty good.
  11. Friday's the day. See everyone there!
  12. June 20th is the day that a lot of registration packages will be removed from the system. The three main reasons you want to place your order before then are: You won't miss out on the best deals on the packages. There may be some personalized goodies. If you don't register by then, you could miss out on a goodie bag altogether. Shortly after the 20th will be the cut off date for having everything paid for. If items are not paid for by that time, the items will drop into general inventory to be sold at the event. The last date to purchase Camping: July 13th. All of these items will be available in limited quantities and sizes at the event until they run out, for a higher cost. Consider yourself warned.
  13. 203 Will Attends 594 Registrations If you like to meet new people, learn a few things you never would have imagined, or want to see what caching in rural Indiana is like, make your plans now. www.MidwestGeoBash.org

  15. It looks like the fairgrounds is starting to fill up. We have lots more sites available with electricity. Don't forget to register at MWGB.org.
  16. Your best bet would be to post to www.OKIC.org's forums.
  17. Go a bit further South-East into Lake Hope State Park and do Lake Hope Nocturnal. If you stay on the Furnace trail and don't approach from the campground, the hike is mostly flat, but the real reward is if you go an hour before dusk, the hikes each way will be filled with up close and personal wildlife experiences with herons, beavers, and things that go splash in the dark.
  18. We're contemplating forum options. They aren't really easy to keep up with for guys who are doing a lot as it is. I've been trying to work up a design for some more. I may need to come up with a better nickname to keep up with the Tank Hounds... Thanks for all the love, guys. We really enjoy seeing what everyone comes up with.
  19. The group rate is $69 a night. It's going fast. Please also check the MWGB Forums for information about how you can pitch in. We don't have a lot of specifics right now, but it will fill out as we approach summer.
  20. I sent the email but haven't heard anything. What's the next step?
  21. I'll have room in my fridge in July! Just bring it right on by. GirlGeek always spends Memorial Day weekend in Raleigh with a friend so it makes this convenient for me this year. The flight out of Indy was pretty cheap. The difficult part will be traffic in Indy that weekend around the airport, though. Two years ago we drove and suffered through Nascar traffic on I-77. If you're traveling that route, look our for 90+ mph "traffic jams". I burned out my transmission on the way back to Ohio.
  22. BTW, it's not me. I did once before I became one of those third party folks. If you're going to do it there are a lot of risks. One is that there are a lot of hidden costs that aren't charged by the mint. You'll get a bill from FedEx or USPS or someone for some unreal value for what you received month prior with no way to get money to cover it. You also need to make sure that your artwork is spot on. Revising artwork with someone who's native toungue is not your own is a very daunting task. Shipping is a real pain if you're planning to sell them. Oh, and you'll need to find a good, reliable way to pay for the coins. Credit card is probably the easiest, but worst way to handle that, if they can take it. I wouldn't try to send money overseas myself with my experience with international money transfers, but your mileage may vary. It's not necessarily cheaper to do it yourself. You might have fun getting into the nitty gritty of International Commerce. Good luck if you do try it.
  23. I must have missed something. Where does one go to pre-order these event pickup coins? Can I get a pickup, too? Never mind. I see that the details are being worked out. I saw all that talk about estimated quantities and thought that reservations were being taken.
