+avroair Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 I poked around on the web and called a bunch of places. I settled on: www.qualitylapelpins.com Since they had what I was looking for with a decent price in mind. Quote

Through another cacher that inquired, I learned that GC.com tracking is only available to cacher groups/associations with a minimum of 1000 (?) coins are produced. Quote

+Mauison Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 "Geocoin" is a generic term that relates to all geocaching-related coins, whether they're trackable on geocaching.com or not. Quote

+Spencersb Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 To be trackable, each coin must have a unique identification code, either numeric, alpha, or alphanumeric. It also must have someone, somewhere, keeping track of who has what coin. It could simply be emailing a person who keeps a spreadsheet, but more often it's some site that finders can log into and post using the coin's number. Travelertags.com will do it. So will cointracking.com once it is up and running. Problem is, you generally need to know how you're going to track them before you have them minted, so that the mechanism for tracking can be printed on the coin itself. My personal coins are numbered, by me by hand, but are not trackable. Quote

+welch Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 In the upper right corner there should be a link that says 'search'. Change the default search date, and put in 'free tracking' or something like that and start the search. hope that helps Quote

+welch Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 Its forum feature and should always been in the upper right corner when in the forums. Not just when looking at certain threads. Quote
