The Hokesters
A friend has asked me to find out if there are any GPSrs that have the ability to connect to a laptop/pocket PC via BlueTooth. I don't mean a BlueTooth GPSr antenna the like of which you would use with TomTom but a standalone handheld GPSr with BlueTooth connectivity. Quote Link to comment
John Stead
There is this. http://www.pocketgps.co.uk/gpsmart.php I have not used it but do use a Fortuna Clipon Bluetooth GPS which is excellent and presumably used the same chipset - if it has the XT setting I can only say it is brilliant. There was also mention on this forum a week or so ago of an attachment for the GPSr which enabled Bluetooth communication. Quote Link to comment

The Wombles
I've got a GPSmart and it works well although I have to admit that I use it principally in bluetooth mode to feed to PDA, preferring the user interface on my trusty old eMap for the final approach. Quote Link to comment
John Stead
I've got a GPSmart and it works well Yes but is the criticism in the review I linked to justified, i.e. that the interface with a PC is poor as waypoints etc can't be transferred between the two units? Quote Link to comment
Postie
There was also mention on this forum a week or so ago of an attachment for the GPSr which enabled Bluetooth communication. Here it is Bluetooth Adapter I recently bought one of these to link my old garmin 12 with my new Palm tungsten5. It works great with my fugawi maps and I use the garmin on it's own when I need to.
