geohiker55
I am going to be in washington latter this month (june) and I would like to find the cache that started all this. Is this cache still active and if so what is the name of the cache? Geohiker55 and geohiker90 Quote Link to comment
IV_Warrior
This cache was placed in honor of the long gone original cache. Quote Link to comment
LandRover
The first cache is no longer active but there is a plaque in Oregon commorating its placement that can be logged as a find ORIGINAL STASH TRIBUTE PLAQUE . The oldest active cache in Washington state is Mountain Marsh on the slopes of Mount St. Helens. Quote Link to comment

fauxSteve
The One-Hundred Oldest Geocaches I'm slowing working on them. I found the Tribute Plaque, the Un-Original Stash up the hill, Firestone in California, and Mingo (the oldest surviving) in Kansas. Quote Link to comment

BilboB
Get yourself a copy of the Groundspeak calendar for 2005. It has the names (and waypoints) for the first caches in each state and quite a few countries around the world. I had no idea the first one in Vermont is less than 50 miles from me! Team Yankee Kiwi
Amazing. We just discovered Geocaching last week and now find that Alan's home country was the second in the world to take it up. Quote Link to comment
