+AuntieWeasel
Alta Vista's Babelfish is usually fairly good, but it's missing a couple of key concepts in your bug's latest log: "then look for more mer times a beautiful plaetzchen for you 2" Quote Link to comment

+vds
google has a good translater. Go to http://www.google.com/language_tools?hl=en and paste in the URL for the cache it's in, and tell it to translate German to English. Sometimes the translations are pretty amusingly lame, but you generally can get the idea. It's a little hard to translate geocaching.com pages sometimes due to how they're assembled, but you can cut+paste the notes individually as well. Quote Link to comment
twjolson & Kay
If the log is still unreadable after an online translator mangles it. You could always email the poster. Just because they post in, say german, doesn't mean they don't speak english. I've traveld some overseas, and most countries teach english as the second language. And those that have learned some english enjoy the chance to practice thier english. It's not a sure thing, but it's worth trying. Quote Link to comment
+tobsas
Maybe you want to add a sentence to your description in German (as long the TB travels in Germany) like "Unfortunatly, we do not speak German, so if possible please post (also) in English." what would be "Leider verstehen wir kein Deutsch, daher wäre es sehr nett, wenn Sie, soweit möglich, (auch) Englisch schreiben würden. Vielen Dank!" dann such mer mal ein schönes plätzchen für euch 2We will look for a nice place for the two of you. schnell mal weiter zu einem besseren romantischen plätzchen!Let's go to a nicer and more romantic place! Greetings, Tobias Quote Link to comment
