+Baxter-MD
I am interested in finding some local caches in the NoVa area that need a little hiking to get to them. Anywhere from 2 mi to 5 mi round trip would be good. All input is appreciated. Quote Link to comment
+donbadabon
The "B" Team has recently placed a whole slew of caches around the reservoir. It is estimated to take from 5-7 hours to grab them all. See this one as a reference point: “Merganser” Point And of course the ones around Burke Lake, which is 5 miles around the lake I believe. See this one as a reference point: Burke Lake Park And a Fountainhead Park, there are about 16 there, and that is a nice hike to grab those. See this one as a reference point: JoeCthulhu's Birthday Micro Hope this helps. Quote Link to comment
GoldenDaze
I'll second the Fountainhead caches, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Dessert make a nice hike. Likewise Weird Stone House and several nearby caches, especially if you come in from the main Fountainhead parking area. At Pohick Bay, Pohick Bay Park Cache Hunt is a nice hike, and Meadowood Scramble looks interesting. Quote Link to comment

+2Wheel'in
I'll shamelessly promote one of mine that I think you'd enjoy, it's A Little Difficult "Too" GCMX8D. Round trip is approximately 3.5 miles. Regards, Bill Quote Link to comment
