Lemon Fresh Dog
Hello Katie -- I'm not under 14. I just wanted to reply and ask you to please, please make sure that your parents or legal guardian goes with you of someone wants to meet you to go geocaching. Unfortunately, the Internet allows people to be anonymous and they can sometimes lie to you if they want to hurt you. So please get someone older (parent/guardian) to participate with you when/if you go to meet new people. Be safe! Have fun! Quote Link to comment
cachew nut
I would like to echo what Lemon Fresh Dog said. Having said that, you may want to read and/or post to this thread. Be safe! Quote Link to comment
LthrWrk
What they said above ... Safety first... But also post to the regional forum for near you. I am sure you will find an orgainized regional geocaching group. Good luck Quote Link to comment
Will+Bill
Hi, Will from our team will be 14 soon. The are plenty of teenagers I know who love to cache! Quote Link to comment
TeamK-9
I'm fourteen, going on 15 in a week or two, I'd love to chat with you. Just send me an email through my profile. Quote Link to comment
El Diablo
Why don't you pose that in a article to Today's Cacher and we'll do a special article about kids caching? El Diablo Quote Link to comment
gis_girl
UGH...and while I tend to believe Katie is really 14, this is often a fake lure by bad people to get other kids to respond so I'd recommend against that also! Sorry Katie! But, that's the other part about being safe on the 'net... Quote Link to comment

NickL
Climbrgirl... PLEASE PLEASE do as you said and involve you mom and dad too if possible... I do not want to get another call at Oh(zero) dark 30 to help look for another lost/missing child. Yes I know that the call will come and yes I know that when it does I will respond. Having done this way too many times and every time I pray iti s the last. I am not a perfect person... I am just me and all I can say is that if you feel that you are being too careful it just may be not careful enough.... and if they are saying that you are being overlay careful RUN! Run like Dick and Jane… Run. Run, run…However, if the right things happen you just may meet some good people and their parents. Quote Link to comment
