+Bull Moose Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 (edited) Could you please explain why you would post a cache on another site and not here on GC? Short answer is that I want to try out TC's point system that I liked so much when it was SGPS. TC is different than the other sites as the caches there are not duped here. I love GC.com and the bulk of my caching will be through here and I will continue to support the site financially. In my perfect world SGPS would just be applied to GC.com system wide... but that 's not my call. Anyway, so as not to throw this thread off track, if you want anymore rationale feel free to PM me. +GeoRoo Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 Thanks, I didn't mean to take this off topic. Was just curious to learn about other sites. From what I've seen they don't get much traffic, but then I guess there is a alternative motive to the cache. Quote
+Wander Lost Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 Just dropped an unactivated coin in The Big Tree cache. Quote
MarcusArelius Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 There are several Wa state coins on Dirty Harry's mountain. I dropped one there on Friday. Not all are in Geocaches though. I also dropped one that I picked up there in Yep! Up There!! a great short bushwack to a scenic view. Did you know that the WSGA site now show recent coin activity? Quote
Goldfinder Posted March 9, 2005 Posted March 9, 2005 Dropped an unactivated coin #935 in PALISADE PEAK cache...... Quote
+WWonka Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 I placed an activated Washington Geocoin in Moun10Bike Maze Multicache yesterday. Thought it would be a worthy prize for the next finder. Sorry there is no link-I am a newbie and have zero html skills! Quote
+Allanon Posted March 15, 2005 Author Posted March 15, 2005 Did you know that the WSGA site now show recent coin activity? I still can't get the WSGA site to accept my attempt to log the coin I found. Quote
MarcusArelius Posted March 17, 2005 Posted March 17, 2005 I still can't get the WSGA site to accept my attempt to log the coin I found. Are you entering the complete coin number including the WA prefix? http://seth.dynip.com/WSGA/GuestTrackCoin.aspx Quote
+Allanon Posted March 17, 2005 Author Posted March 17, 2005 Yep, I am. In the form of WAxxxx. Should there be a space between the WA and the number? I'd think not, but what do I know. I'll bring it with me tomorrow and we can try it out (if we have a wireless connection, that is). Quote
+Allanon Posted March 19, 2005 Author Posted March 19, 2005 Thanks Marcus...that link does work much better!! Quote
+fauxSteve Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 I dropped a Washington State coin in The Lodge today. Have fun! Quote
+Bull Moose Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 (edited) If anyone happens to be watching this thread from the Midwest, I'm taking 8 of mine and flying to Minneapolis. From there I will be driving to the Eau Claire, WI, area and then driving to the Sioux Falls, SD, area, caching on the way. You can watch my personal bug to see what caches I've hit and if I've dropped any coins. Edit: What states are those in? Edited March 24, 2005 by Bull Moose Quote
