+Houston Muggles
My husband and I are traveling to Germany and Austria and have found some caches in the areas we will be. Is there an option anywhere on the site to translate the information to english? Quote Link to comment

Dinoprophet
If it's just a few caches, you could ask in the German Speaking forum, toward the bottom of the list. I needed to translate my instructions for a travel bug into German, and I got a quick response there. You could also try AltaVista Babel Fish. There might be better ones out there, but that's the first one that comes to mind. Hey, didn't my renewal check clear? Quote Link to comment
CacheNCarryMA
You might want to try Babelfish's online translator. You might get some translations that are off, but it might work for simple text. Quote Link to comment
+Smitherington
There are also some web sites that do free translations. You do cut and paste and it does a quick translation. Go to google and do a search for free translation german english and several websites will come up. I am not sure of the quality of the translation for geocaching but that is a start. +cmpalmer
Google language tools also works -- the translations sound a little funny sometime, but you can get the general meanings. You can just paste in a URL and it will translate the page. Google Language Tools Even better, if you install the Google toolbar, you can click on Page Info and select "Translate this page to English". -- stream of did I lock the front door? consciousness Quote Link to comment
