  1. Thank you I emailed him; hopefully he can help
  2. Is there anyplace I can download a schematic for the Meridian Magellan GPS. A few wires (blue, orange, white and yellow) have come loose from the circuit board. I know where they belong but not the order.
  3. I have my GPS alarm set to go off when we get with-in 100 feet of the cache. When it goes off we stop and everyone guesses where they think the cache is. It gives the GPS time to settle in and also adds a little humor to the chase.
  4. Works for me...there are several programs that will download the waypoints for you. EasyGPS and GSAK are very kissable.
  5. I never win anything....but I'll give it a try
  6. I had to double check what web site I was on when I saw this .
  7. E&D...Where are you getting your infomation from about PA allowing hunting on Sundays next year....That's news to me.
  8. One of the few from Bedford County...Schellsburg
  9. I'm getting sick and tired of some of the replies on this form. NO I DIDN'T READ THE FAQ...SOME PEOPLE HAVE A REAL LIFE, JOB AND CHILDREN THAT KEEP THEM BUSY. I DO NOT HAVE TIME TO SIT DOWN AND READ EVERYTHING HERE.....I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE EASIERY TO ASK BUT I GUESS I WAS WRONG.
  10. I have a small problem. I went to activate my TB tonight but I threw away my packaging before I wrote down the activation code. How do I go about getting a new code? The activation code is a unique code located on the packaging for each Travel Bug. When activated, the Travel Bug will be assigned to your user account. This way you can modify its own personal page. Enter your activation code below

  12. I'm getting An Error Has Occured This geocache does not exist in the system
  13. I did maintenance checks on all of my caches this spring. 3 out of the 5 were sitting in the open. Once again why is it so hard for people to rehide a cache as good or better than what they have found it? I think I may start checking on my caches after each person has located them to see if they can follow simple directions. If they do not hide it as directed I may send of a nice little note to them. LOL Don't mind me I'm venting
  14. It's not only a good idea to wear floresent orange; it is the law in PA. Even if you are not hunting you are required to have at least 100 square inches of orange on your head. For more detail go to Floesent Orange
  15. If your travels take you to Bedford County (Pennsylvania)....check out Gravity Hill. Gravity Hill Cache
  16. I usually wait about 5 minutes take a reading...walk about 100 yards away from the cache and walk in from a different direction...take another reading...I do this three times and then average my readings.....seems to work I've never had a complaint with the caches I have hidden.
  17. We use the slingshot effect to our advantage. We have our Magellan set to go off when I get with-in 100 feet of the cache. We stop let the GPSr catch up with us but while we are waiting we play a little game. Everyone takes a guess where the cache would be. After the GPSr gets a lock on us we proceed to our guess to see if the cache is hidden there. If its not we then use the GPSr to find the cache. The kids love doing this.
  18. Thank You.....both Thousand Steps and Brush Mountain look great.
  19. I am fast approaching my 100th find. I'm open to any suggestions…... I live in Schellsburg (Bedford County) Pennsylvania. Would prefer a cache within 50 miles of my house.
  20. The information you are looking for is found at the HIDE AND SEEK A CACHE link. As for the FTF certificate i have no idea where to find it.
  21. I left my car key at a cache one time...it was dark when I made it back to the cache...needless to say I had the local police department open my car so I could get to my spare key....if you wondering why I leave a spare key locked in my car well it's a very long story......
  22. Saturday, October 18, is the first day of early muzzleloader season. If you are planning to be on PA State Game Lands the law requires you to wear orange even if you are not hunting.
  23. Two great caches to find in the fall. They both are located near the PA Grand Canyon. Turkey Path Stumper West Rim Treasure
