+Team Snoopy
I just ordered my vista and anxiously awaiting it's arrival. In the meantime I am getting alist of the cashes I want to do and thinking of what to put as a trade. I am a Tupperware manager and thought putting in our little keychains or smidgets (both open and can store asprin, candy, change). But I wanted to know if I could add into the container a piece of candy? Such as a wrapped mint or jolly rancher? I know food is not allowed, but didn't know if that applied to if it is in airtight containers. Or do you think I should just leave the Tupperware gadget empty? And do you think this woudl be a "cool" thing to find? We have tons of hot wheels cars and Mc Donalds toys, but those don't seem to be good things to find it soulnd like. Quote Link to comment
+Renegade Knight
Candy and food are a bad idea in general. Animals can smell it and it's amazing how destructive they can be in trying to get to the food. Many a cache has been chewed up or destroyed this way. Quote Link to comment
+El Diablo
What RK said. Never leave any food or anything scented in a cache...there is no if , ands, or buts about this. El Diablo Quote Link to comment
+Team Snoopy
Okay I will for sure leave the candy out! I guess it is kinda like camping, don't want to leave food around. I figured it was a no, thanks for confirming that! Quote Link to comment
Neos2
The containers are a really cool idea though. I used to sell Tupperware, too, and was thinking just the other day that I wish I still had some of the bags of smidgets etc to use as swag. Quote Link to comment
+pdxmarathonman
I love the little refrigerator magnets that look like tupperware containers. Also, there is an ice-cream scoop that is very cute (is it tupperware?) Quote Link to comment
moopgroop
How about leaving bent pens? I use them in my practice and people go nuts over them. Only possible problem is they have my office address and phone number. If I trade those, does it become commercial? Quote Link to comment
+SixDogTeam
Candy in a cache is considered sabotage around here. Coons can smell thru anything, and get into anything. Quote Link to comment
+Robespierre
Candy....we used to bait the other guy' tent for skunks with candy. I wouldn't. Quote Link to comment
+smullis
I like the Tupperware gadget idea. Everyone could us an extra little container for whatnots. Quote Link to comment
+SixDogTeam
Candy....we used to bait the other guy' tent for skunks with candy. . For those of you who may have been Scouts, we used to give guys "insect repellent" to rub on themselves for their OA Ordeal--only it was "bug Juice"-- the sugar-water cool-aid the mess hall served --quite an attractant!!
