+Wood Smoke Posted July 27, 2004 Posted July 27, 2004 (edited) Hi All, I was bored at work this morning so I decided to update the dates for the PQs to get all caches in the UK. 01/12/00 - 09/07/02 (498) 10/07/02 - 14/02/03 (498) 15/02/03 - 10/06/03 (497) 11/06/03 - 17/10/03 (495) 18/10/03 - 21/02/04 (488) 22/02/04 - 28/04/04 (496) 29/04/04 - 26/06/04 (488) 28/06/04 – 31/07/04 (216) They are collected using the 'is active' tick, so archived caches won't show. Also you will notice on the final one that I have a future date on it..............it works and saves you updating it weekly :-) If you run the newest one every day, then you get all the new caches placed as well -) WoodSmoke Edited July 27, 2004 by Wood Smoke Quote
Deego Posted July 27, 2004 Posted July 27, 2004 Nice going. saves me trying to work it out. Thanks Brian Quote
markandlynn Posted July 27, 2004 Posted July 27, 2004 Cheers for the update have forward dated my last one allready. BTW i ask for all caches not just active one. I then set an updated and a placed download at the end of the week. Saves downloading them all every week (no broadband), GSAK does the sorting out for archived un archived after i import them. Quote
+roolku Posted July 27, 2004 Posted July 27, 2004 Personally I like a little more breathing space as temporarily disabled caches get re-activated and may drive the count over 500 for individual queries. Also I don't use the "is active" flag as than I won't have an indication that caches get disabled or archived - they would happily live on in my local GSAK database. Roolku Quote

+Birders Posted July 27, 2004 Posted July 27, 2004 If it's not a silly question - how long does it take to receive Pocket Queries. I've "ordered" two lots over a period of several days but nothing has happened.. Quote

+KiloTwo Posted July 27, 2004 Posted July 27, 2004 I usually get my PQs in a few minutes. You need to make sure you tick the day that you are doing the query - So, if you do a one-off Pocket Query on a Tuesday, you need to tick the Tuesday box. Mike. Quote
+Learned Gerbil Posted July 27, 2004 Posted July 27, 2004 Also many people add mutiple options without realising the ffects are accumulative. It is easy to ask for a query that contains no caches, which is why it is always worth previewing. However, the day option is probably your problem. Quote
+Birders Posted July 27, 2004 Posted July 27, 2004 Very many thanks all. I suspect Deego hit the nail on the head.. I clicked the agreement bit and the file came through a few mins later. It then took me half an hour to tumble that it had to be sent to the PDA via ActiveSync. Simply shovelling it across by WiFi made it unreadable on the PDA. It's all working fine now so thanks again.. +Pharisee Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 In case anybody is interested, it now takes 9 pocket queries to cover all the caches in the UK. Number 8 was filled up by 18th August. Quote
+Pharisee Posted October 26, 2004 Posted October 26, 2004 Up to 10 now I'm afraid. At the rate new caches are being set, I'll have run out of pocket queries by Christmas Quote
