I use one of these and it's great for cachemate. 8mb memory (plenty) takes two AAA batteries that last for ever.

We concur. I got one just for geo-geeking, liked it so much that I bought another for Sue. Both were second-hand from eBay and they're great.

 

The batteries don't last so long when you're playing Scrabble duing your long holiday flights (brilliant playing by beaming back and forth) or playing backgammon (the Palm cheats quite brazenly).

 

Get "CacheMate" and "GSAK", both shareware and cheap to register. They pay for themselves in a few months of neat, organised and paperless caching.

I've just bought the Palm M105 (8mb) from Ebay for £21, it's used and it's in good condition. I think it looks better than the Palm III editions but it does exactly the same. Does the job for caching just nicely.

I've not lost a lot of money if I drop it in a burn by accident.

I`m using a Palm Vx bought off ebay, half of the cache I got last week in Camber I would of missed if I was using only paper.

 

I did think about getting a colour Pda with bigger memory and add maps to the pda so I could go totally paperless.

Thanks for the lead, I'm really getting sick of sinking under bits of paper, as soon as I get back from my hols I'll order one, then, of course I'll be posting you lot questions on how I'm supposed to make it work right ;-)
