+Kijote
Hi, I'm new to GPS receivers. Just bought a Magellan Meridian GOLD. I want to buy an SD Card to store more Waypoints and Maps. Magellan offers them, but they're more expensive than SD card you'd buy at Walmart for a digital camera or a PDA. Does anyone know if the GOLD only takes Magellan SD cards, or can I buy any old SD card? Thanks a bunch! Kijote [ kee-HO-tay ] Edited April 15, 2004 by Kijote Quote Link to comment

+Cherokeecacher
Welcome to the Wonderful World of Magellan’s. I think you can help smooth out the learning curve if you go here , sign up for the user group, it is free, download MeridianFAQv2_0.pdf, from the "files" section, read it and enjoy. 2oldfarts (the rockhounders)
Just visit your favorite Wal-mart. They have several sizes and decent prices. John Quote Link to comment
+EScout
Or MMC cards if you have any. Get an SD card if you are going to buy one. They have been for sale locally for $25 after rebate on 128MB SD cards. This sould be more than plenty for the average user. Quote Link to comment
