I always keep mine on CH.2 while hiking and give a call out every once in awhile for other cachers. I haven't heard anyone or recieved any responses. I thought is would be a nice way to meet with other locals while caching but it seem like I'm wasting my breath. Quote Link to comment

If i'm in the wods with another ham I will bring a 2m 440 hand held with me just to talk to them but I've never heard another cacher on it either, some repeater chatter but no local talk.
