+StarshipTrooper
I've been searching here with no results, so no flames please... Seems to me, that Mapquest used to have a feature for giving the cords for a given address. Now I can't find any such feature, and I need it. Am I just not looking in the right place? Can someone give me another website that does this? -ST Quote Link to comment
+Limax
I remember them having that feature as well. I also just checked Yahoo maps and Mapblast (now some MS product), and they do not have coordinates either. Quote Link to comment
+Robbie's Family
Try this...... www.mapquest.com/maps/latlong.adp Quote Link to comment
+StarshipTrooper
Sorry - I didn't make myself clear. What I was looking for was somewhere I could enter an address and get the cords. Mapquest will only accept addresses OR cords. It won't convert. -ST Quote Link to comment
thcri
It's been a while since I have looked at Microsoft Streets and Trips but I think you use to be able to get the cordinates from the street there. Probably wasn't the most accurate but got you pretty close and you could adjust it. Check it out if you have Streets and Trips. It may or may not give you what you want. murph Quote Link to comment
Rockpick
I believe that MS Streets still does this... not 100% sure... Also, you could utilize microsoft.terraserver.com by finding your location on an aerial and placing the cursor over that place. I believe the coords are shown... RP Quote Link to comment
Us 5 Camp
Multimap gives lat/long, but the site sorta s_cks. MSN mappoint still does this, but the coordinates are hidden in the website address bar that results from the search. MSN is the best of those I'm posting here. Maporama lists the coordinates at the bottom of the results page from an address search. That's a short list, there used to be more... Edited March 2, 2004 by Us 5 Camp Quote Link to comment
+StarshipTrooper
Thank you, US 5 Camp! Maporama does what I need. Do you know what datum they're using? -ST Quote Link to comment

RP Yes MS Streets and trips does that. It is the same engine that the website listed above uses. Just do a "find" for the address (a push pin is created) then go to "tools"/"Location Sensor" and move the mouse to the push pin. It is not very accurate as I tested this using my home address but it should get you within (I am guessing) a tenth of a mile. Hope this helps, Quote Link to comment
+NightPilot
Try here. Mapquest will give you an address from coordinates here, but that's not what you asked for. The first link gives you coordinates from an address input. Quote Link to comment
