Can someone please go help my Travel Bug called "Bug Eyed" Thank you very much, Happy Frog I'm afraid your bug is stuck for the winter. It's at the peak of an 11,000+ foot mountain in the middle of the Rockies! No one is gonna get any where near it until spring, probably very late spring. Quote Link to comment

Major Catastrophe
The description of that cache says "it is only accessable during the summer months." Is it spring in Montana already? (Sorry, couldn't help asking...) Quote Link to comment
+evergreenhiker!
I'll get it for you if it's still there. Folks are moving to Montana so I will be over there at times. anyway, the challenge of climbing a high peak is exciting. Quote Link to comment

Jamethiel
The cache is probably going to be inaccessable until late July unless we get some high temps early this year. You may want to bump this thread up about mid summer and remind folks areound here about the TB. Sounds like a beautiful spot to visit. -Jennifer Quote Link to comment

manicmarauder
We were out and about last week seeing how high we could get with a little Jeep Liberty. Got turned back on most roads around 7200-7500ft due to drifts & ruts that just kept getting deeper and longer. ATVs and 2-snowshoe drive can get you a lot further though. On the bright side, when looking at the high mountinas now you can see the rocks starting to peek out from under the snow, so it's getting there, at least over here in Butte, Montana. So .. umm .. think of it as a "Hibernation" ... ? Edited May 1, 2004 by manicmarauder Quote Link to comment
+HappyFrog (& gang)
So is cache "Lone Mountain Summit" in Montana out of Hibernation yet? The offical start of summer is in 7 days. I'm sure that "Bug Eye" would like to be traveling again. Quote Link to comment
Jamethiel
It is probably getting closer. I'd give it a few more weeks personally. The peaks here in Missoula still have snow on them and we are still seeing logs about snow drifts in the high mountains. (see the recent logs on Mr Grubstake's Dream caches, at least two of them are still a pain due to the snow.) -Jennifer Quote Link to comment

The snow in CA tends to melt a bit faster . Quote Link to comment

manicmarauder
Greetings and Salutations! The mountians south of butte are looking nice and defrosted, only a few small snow spots can be seen so it might be good. Mind you, these are different mountians, but at almost as high an elevation. I have to take a trip out of town this weekend, but I might try to go get it next weekend if it's still there and I can manage the trip. I'm not exactly in the best of shape, so we'll see Think i'll drop the link in to the cache page too, just to be conveniant. Lone Mountian Summit Quote Link to comment
