Caches Near Camping Area

I'm taking a camping trip in May at Berry Bend in MO. I was wondering if anyone from the area could tell me if any caches are nearby. I looked on Buxley's, but the closest I found was in Clinton. Are there any closer? Thanks in advance.

The easiest way is to find out the Zip Code of the camping area, and then go to the Search page and find the ones in the area, or if you are a premium member, you can do a Pocket Query.

Never thought about doing it that way. I hardly use the search function because it usually starts me going one direction then skews me in the other. Thanks for the advice though, seems like the nearest one is a mile away. Don't think I can seek away from the family without being noticed. *sigh*

I'm not sure. These are simple country folk that probably wouldn't understand how GPS works. Still, I might just do that. Though it's hard for umpteen family members to share one GPSr. *sigh*

Simple country folk are not always as simple as we might think. I was in Africa recently and had a guy drive me to a cache in Nairobi, Kenya. I held the GPSr where he could see it as we drove along and he was just amazed. Just had never seen such a thing before. He enjoyed the hunt.

Well I know the "simple country folk" stereotype isn't always accurate, but I grew up with these people. If they did, it would shock me to no end.

My family thought I was goofy too when I explained Geo-caching!!! Since then my daughter wants me to take her out often and even my wife now would like to go along. A lot of people may think it is stupid, but the thrill of finding the cache is great and you know what, it is a lot better than having your kids out somepplace where you don't know where they are. I think it is a great time for family.
