Adding A Picture To Your Post/reply

I tried dragging and dropping and I tried to copy and paste a picture to a reply but it will not work.

So, what's the trick??

Use the IMG tag (one of the buttons above the form where you type your post) and enter a working URL for that picture in the opening Jawascript Application window. Your picture has to be uploaded somewhere in the internet, so you can't just use the pics on your hard disk.

 

For example, using the URL http://img.Groundspeak.com/cache/log/1008657_400.jpg with IMG tags, the result is like this:

Oh!!! That's exactly what I wanted to do... add a pic from my hard drive. I do not have a URL, so I guess I am you know what out of luck.

If you have free space on your web page, you can upload the picture you want to use there, so you will have a URL. If it's geocaching related you could also upload it through your profile pages, like you've done with your avatar picture.

You can upload a picture to your Geocaching account and use the URL from there.

You can do that HERE. After uploading it, you can click on the new link to the picture and copy the URL.
