I started with a MAG 315 because in Feb of 2001 it seemed to offer the best values and features for price. Little did I know it had a software problem when you slowed your walk below 3 miles an hour...talk about backtracking ! I then bought the yellow etrex again for price and it seemed from the forums it did a good job of walking you up to a cache. I now use the Mag 315 in the car hooked up to a 15" laptop screen...this gets me down the highway to a parking lot (usually...though sometimes on the wrong side of a river!) and then I walk with the yellow etrex. I think I've made all the investment in gps receivers I am going to make. I am about at the end of the mapping programs too. With my 307 finds (and your 270 plus) I don't think either one of us needs much more in the way of equipment. Ron I've never been lost. Fearsome confused sometimes, but never lost.
