  1. Thanks everybody for the ideas...just one more question. Before I mentioned putting the clue in "Go to (coordinates here) and determing the number of years the park has been open to find the last 2 numbers of the latitude." I've been thinking about it and considered just giving a general coord to get people to different areas of the park like: the trail head point is at: xxxx Then I write: "In the trail system find the year that the trail system was established (199X) to know the last digit of the latitude which is X" Does this change your opinion on puzzle/multi?
  2. Hmm...so it sounds like people are quite divided on that and it's not really gonna make that huge of a difference. I would call it a puzzle but not much needs to be "sovled," however it is not just as simple as going to a bunch of coordinates and following them to the next stage. I guess either way will work maybe?
  3. Okay, I'm working on a cache right now and I don't know if this is considered a multi cache or a puzzle cache. Basically I plan on giving coordinates to a bunch of places in a park where people have to obtain information from to determine the coordinates of the cache. (The given coords on teh page will be for parking location) For example, one clue would be: "Go to (coordinates here) and determing the number of years the park has been open to find the last 2 numbers of the latitude." There would be a bunch of those clues with coordinates, which would come together to form the coords for the final cache with the loot. So, is this a puzzle or multi-cache?
  4. I have one that I wrapped in tree bark and camoflauged to look like a branch of a tree (still attached to tree). I thought it looked great, until the bark started falling off I've also seen a cache that was inside a 2 inch diamater pole...Best cache I've ever seen in my life! jhwf4
  5. How close does it have to be to 92W? jhwf4

  7. Family went up there last year, and the GPS was definetly nice to have with. We used to do it with maps and compass, but wow, a GPS really helps. Use that with a map that has lat/long and you can easily find where you're at, all the time. jhwf4
  8. Yeah, I've seen caches that have been destroyed by animals because of seeds here in MN. It's probably not like that everywhere, but I'm sure ammo cans would be safe to put them in. I wouldn't recommend putting them in a cache that is a cheap container, such as an ice cream bucket. jhwf4
  9. does the keyword search work for locationless caches...it might not, and that could be your reason jhwf4
  10. Just refresh the page after the upload and it will be fine. Like when I clicked on the link you provided, the picture looked great to me The pixelated thing happens for everyone I think, and you just have to click refresh jhwf4
  11. ahh, yes... I do remember Majicman and his RASH. That's what he called it at least....and he made a bunch of sad puns out of it too if I remember correctly. jhwf4
  12. I hate it when people take caches and don't put them back exaclty where they find them. I had one out on a tree limb that had to be put back just perfect to stay hidden and to keep from falling. I went to check on it and it was moved so many times! Then, it went missing...grr jhwf4
  13. hmm...i don't get it, but I will have a nice day I guess... jhwf4

  18. I just wanted to say "Thanks!" to all the admins and their hard work. Everyone has something they could complain about (so do I) but do you realize how much hard work they are doing?!?!? They can't satisfy everyone, and they have in their best intentions to make the site better for everyone. Thanks again admins, I truly appreciate what you do for the "geocaching world" jhwf4
  19. Nope, I'm not! TPBM is watching something on tv they shouldn't be though... jhwf4
