cwoper
O.K. check this out.Sombody left a realy cool item in a Cache that I had placed. My question is this;Is it o.k. for me to remove it and put it in my "whatnot"shelf?Whould it be in bad taste to go get it and keep it myself?Should I leave it in the Cache box and make the next finder happy? It's not a valuable item,it's just cool. You know me...The Dude abides...let me know. +NattyBooshka
I've never done it... but I guess it's OK to go and trade from your own cache Cheers, Emily & Neil The welfare of the forest and it's wildlife must come before the game. Quote Link to comment
+webscouter.
The BeeGees tape is already gone. [] I would say if you trade up you can take the item. The person who left it wanted someone to enjoy it. Take it until you are no longer enjoying it then leave it somewhere for someone else. Quote Link to comment
+Kealia
I'll echo that. As long as the trade is fair, I have no problem with it. I recently stopped in to check on a cache that I had previously visited because I was in the area. When I opened the cache I saw an item that I actually wanted, so I traded for it. Haven't gotten any flames yet..... (Flamesuit on....) Quote Link to comment
Scooby Snacks
I found a cache and e-mailed the owner of some changes that had taken place in the area that changed his hint. He checked on the cache and thanked me in his logged visit and also could not resit what I left and took it for himself. okey dokey Quote Link to comment

cwoper
Thanks for the input fellow Cachers.I think that I will email this person and ask them if it's o.k.if I remove it and claim ownership. As to Bloencustoms comment...I'm glad you caught that,it's cool when somebody understands you!!! OuttaHand
I regularly remove items from my own cache. I collect key chains so I remove them from my caches and restock with other items. I believe the cache is yours. If someone traded something into it, it's because they wanted someone else to enjoy it. You ARE someone else, aren't you? Take the item out and restock the cache with something of similar or better value. Quote Link to comment
