+woodsters Posted August 24, 2003 Share Posted August 24, 2003 OK, so it wasn't the pirate that was plundering caches in Washington, but it was a cache called Cap'n Kidds Treasure that was on Charles island in CT. We went to an event cache yesterday and found many caches including this one that you either had to boat to or wait for low tide and walk across. We walked across and got our feet wet, but we found the treasure.... There is folklore about Cap'n Kidd hid his treasure there. You can read about on the Silver Sands SP website I believe or do a search for Captain Kidd and/or Charles Island. Arrrgh!
