Hello-

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, did a search on Trivial Pursuit and nothing came up.

Was playing the newest version of Trivial Pursuit last night, and there was a question to which the answer was Geocaching! Not sure of the exact text of the question, but will go check tonight if anyone is interested. Pretty cool, IMO.

Im in the military, used their scout/plgr GPS's. Got my own Etrex Vista for hunting 2 years ago. Nerver looked into it for much else till one night my wife and I were over to some friends for dinner. We decided to play Trivia Pursuit (New Version). The question came up like "What do you call it when you plot locations on the ground all over and use a GPS to go find/search for them?" Hmm, My friend and I both use GPS's and didn't know the answer. icon_confused.gif "GEOCACHING" He (Exarmycpt) looked it up, now we're both hooked!! icon_biggrin.gif

See us on Idaho Geocachers

If you hide it, I'll find it!!!!

EVENTUALLY...

That would make for fun conversation at an event cache. Cacher 1: 'So, how did you get into geocaching?'. Cacher 2: 'Well, we were playing Trivial Pursuit and...'

I think a more precise answer to that would be waypointing or geodashing. That question doesn't mention anything about hiding containers, that's where the caching in geocaching comes from. But it's still good press so...
